Our vapor phase corrosion inhibitors (VpCI) function by releasing or vaporizing into the air space and laying out on all metal surfaces a protective film. This Cortec® based technology is suited for both dry lay-up and partially wet/flooded lay-up and can protect for up to two years. Anytime a boiler, cooling system or related equipment is non-operable for an extended period, is drained, or partially flooded, VpCI technology can be an excellent choice.

Our dry and liquid based VpCI products contain inhibitors which sublime or emit into the air space. In order to ensure all metal surfaces are protected, enough VpCI product must be added so the enclosed air space is saturated with VpCI molecules. This vaporizing ability enables these products to protect without direct application to the metal surface.
